The cypress is a very common tree in the Mediterranean basin. Even if this coniferous tree can be found almost everywhere in the world, such as in China and the United States. It has a strong symbolic value since the ancient Greek civilizations attributed to it powers of immortality. In perfumery, cypress is very appreciated for its intense woody note<\/a>. Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of its leaves and branches. This essence of yellow color delivers a tonic scent with camphor and citrusy accents. Cypress essential oil is reminiscent of pine, with a more aromatic aspect.
