The beech is a variety of tree born in Europe that thrives in mountainous and humid regions. Its wood is appreciated for the ease with which it can be carved. It is also used as a combustible or in medicine thanks to its bark known to help fight fever. Like many woods, beech is also used in perfumery. Its essence, delivered by the distillation of its wood and its bark, delivers a great olfactory richness. It gives off a scent of undergrowth, both moist, camphorated and earthy.
