Native to Mexico, the dahlia is a magnificent flower from a tuberous plant that includes several dozen species. A summer and autumn plant, it produces flowers in many colorful shades that amaze the eyes… But don’t really tickle the nose! And yes, as beautiful as it is, the dahlia hardly gives off any scent in its natural state. Except for its foliage which diffuses subtle peppery notes. However, this flower has inspired some perfumers who have largely reinterpreted it with various floral and powdery accords.
