Thyme is an aromatic plant of the Lamiaceae family. It forms a small shrub of 15 to 30 cm and grows on arid soil in sunny regions. This is why it is found mostly in the Mediterranean scrubland. Used as an aromatic since ancient times, the Romans also used it to make cosmetics, balms and body waters. Today, perfumers can use thyme essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of the leaves of the plant. Its scent is warm and invigorating at the same time, and releases herbaceous and sunny notes. Thyme can be found in aromatic fragrances, fern accords<\/a>, but also in chypre<\/a> or woody perfumes<\/a>.   <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
