The lotus is an aquatic plant of the Nelumbonacea family. It is the national flower of Vietnam and India. According to some writings, the lotus flower is the oldest known flower in the world. Its symbolism is very strong: in Buddhism it represents wisdom and serenity. Its flowers can be used in cooking but also in cosmetics and perfumery. The extraction with alcohol of the concrete of lotus delivers an absolute with a floral and aquatic scent, very fresh, with a hyacinth aspect.
